Silk Embroidery Ribbon is our most popular silk riibon. It is a thin, soft and wispy 100% silk ribbon with finished edges and a lovely drape. It is suitable for many uses encluding embroidery, wedding invitations, crafts, use in jewelry making, on garments, quilts, scrapbooks, and more. Silk Embroidery ribbon comes in many colors, including hand dyed variegated colors and 5 widths, 2mm (1/16"), 4mm (1/8"), 7mm (1/4"), 13mm (1/2") and 32mm (1 1/4"). Silk Satin Ribbon - If you need a thicker, heavy silk ribbon, try our Silk Satin Ribbon, which is a thick, lush and soft double faced satin 100% silk ribbon. It looks mcuh like the basic polyester satin ribbon you find in craft shops, but because it is made from silk, it is far superior in look and hand. Silk Satin ribbon is suitable for crafts, wedding invitations, use in jewelry making, on garments, quilts, scrapbooks, many uses. We currently only stock silk satin in whit and black, but will soon be stocking some colors. We can dye the silk satin ribbon for you to match your swatch at no extra charge. Silk satin ribbon comes in 4mm (1/8"), 6mm (just under 1/4"), 9mm( 3/8"), 12mm(just under 1/2"), 15mm (5/8"), 18mm (3/4"), 24mm (just over 7/8"), 36mm (1 1/2") and 50mm (2").

If you need a Bias Cut ribbon, try our 100% Silk Bias Cut Ribbon. Bias cut silk ribbon is ribbon that is not woven, but rather cut from strips of silk fabric along the bias. Because it is cut along the bias (at a right angle to the lengthwise and crosswise grain) of the fabric, this ribbon will stretch and not shread or fray, but it does have unfinshed edges, giving it a specific look. Silk Bias ribbon is suitable for lining raw fabric edges as a decorative edge, such a wedding veil or quilt edge. It will stretch and bend without kinks and warping as normal ribbon would. Bias silk ribbon also looks nice when used with paper and floral crafts. It comes in both a taffeta (soft) matte and single face satin finish. It can also be used for embroidery, but would not be a first choice. It is very dyeable. We can dye Silk Bias cut ribbon for you to match your swatch at no extra charge.

If you are looking for a heavy 100% Silk Taffeta Ribbon to use as a lining or bow with a formal silk gown, period costume or silk draperies, then our 2" Silk Taffeta ribbon will work for you. It is a stiff ribbon, that will hold it's firm shape for bows. Washing the ribbion will soften it and it is very dyeable. Silk Taffeta ribbon is currently stocked in 50mm (2") off white. It can also be used for embroidery, but would not be a first choice. it is dyeable. We can dye the Silk Taffeta ribbon for you to match your swatch at no extra charge.
