Cut your own wide silk ribbons to dye with from 12mm silk Habotai. Natural white, ready to dye!

Need very wide ribbons but don't want to spend a fortune? cut your own bias strips from silk fabric. We have 12mm silk Habotai fabric sold by the yard that can be used for this. 100% Silk grade A, has a smooth, even weave. Silk is very easy and fun to dye, not much different from dying Easter eggs, especially pastels. It is all about experimenting to get the colors effects you are looking for. We don't carry dyes, but you can use any of the dyes readily available in craft stores or Walmart, including Rit. You can also use permanent inks and pigment dyes that scrapbooker's use as well as good old Kool aid.
