Bias cut silk ribbon is 100% silk ribbon that does not have finished edges; it is cut from strips of silk fabric along the bias(at a right angle to the lengthwise and crosswise grain). Because it is cut along the bias of the fabric, this ribbon will stretch and is well suited for lining raw fabric edges as a decorative edge, such a wedding veil or quilt edge. It will stretch and bend without kinks and warping as normal ribbon would. Bias silk ribbon also looks nice when used with paper and floral crafts because of it's natural flowy look. It will not shred or fray, but it does have unfinished edges, giving it a specific look. Bias cut ribbon has a seam about every 1.5 yards.  This is due to the way the fabric is constructed for cutting.

Silk bias ribbon comes in both a habotai (soft) matte and single face satin finish.

 It is our most popular silk ribbon. It is a thin, soft and wispy 100% silk ribbon with finished edges and a lovely drape. It is suitable for many uses in all types of crafts.  Silk Embroidery ribbon comes in many colors, including hand dyed variegated colors and 5 widths, 2mm (1/16"), 4mm (1/8"), 7mm (1/4"), 13mm (1/2") and 32mm (1 1/4"). 

 Please Note: Due to our current workload, 3 sets of 5 samples is the maximum we are able to prepare at this time. 

Sample set includes five colors.  One small cut of any of the 5 colors you choose from our stock of silk embroidery ribbon colors (Cam Creations Original Solids or Hand Dyed Classics). We can not guarantee your desired with will be available for sample cutting, but will do our best. (Excludes YLI/Ribbon Connections brands, as they are pre-packaged and can not be opened.)
